Military
Working as a spiritual caregiver in the military means going on a mission, being part of a group and creating peace and space for reflection in the midst of all the hustle and bustle. Research within the military focuses on various themes such as: peace and security, religion and violence, theology and ethics of peace, military ethics, church and state in relation to spiritual care and concepts of spiritual care and pastoral care. We work closely with the spiritual care service in the military. The Center is open to master’s theses, PhD research or postdoc projects. Do you want to do research specifically in the field of defense? Then contact Erik Sengers, professor of Spiritual Care in the Armed Forces at Tilburg University, or professor of Ethics and Spiritual Care in the Armed Forces Pieter Vos at the Protestant Theological University.
